Abstract
Objective : We tried to check the effect to the physical function and activities of daily living through applying the physical recognition patterns training of the cognition therapy exercise(CTE) for the patient who got hemiplegia.

Methods : The subject of this research is 69 aged woman who got diagnosis of left side hemiplegia through the cerebral infarction on June. 1. 2010. We applied the physical recognition patterns training of Cognition Therapy Exercise(CTE) to the subject 1 time a day 45 minutes during the 13 weeks, from July. 27. 2010 to October. 29. 2010.

Results : After the 13 weeks of the early valuation, the result of revaluation is as follows. From 27/7 to 31/28 on MFT, from 55/0 to 67/49 on box&block test, from 13/0 to 14/7 on purdue pegboard test and before the training, paralytic side can¡¯t be evaluated on every clause but after 13 weeks, all clause is improved. On Activities of Daily Living test, 59 pt. is improved from 25 to 84 so almost every part can perform separately. Occupational performance measure is also improved from 14 to 27 on total performance pt. and from 10 to 22 on total satisfaction pt. The cognitive therapeutic exercise profile showed the improvement in pathological characteristics, especially in recognition aspect, attention aspect, image aspect, language aspect, and learning aspect.

Conclusion : Therefore, physical recognition patterns training for hemiplegia patient can get positive effect on physical function and activities of daily living.
